Moorrabbin, Victoria, Australia
Dean Bowen's creative process spans across painting, printmaking, and sculpture. He is constantly working across various mediums in pursuit of his artistic journey, one that commenced many years ago, and was inspired by growing up in country Victoria, where he would often listen to the titillating sounds of nature.
The 'bird' motif which figures frequently in his art, originally came about by listening to the gentle tapping of the local birds in his expansive studio in an inner South Eastern suburb of Melbourne.
Dean's studio is a vast and delectable kaleidoscope of colour, with walls lined with his signature birds, owls, echidnas, and the occasional comet or two.
